Copenhagen's gallery geography is compact in scale but unusually divided in tone, with each area supporting a different relation between market visibility, exhibition format, and artistic production. Nordvest operates at another scale altogether. Its larger spaces allow galleries to stage ambitious exhibitions that would be difficult to accommodate in the older central districts, making the area important for conceptual, sculptural, and spatially demanding practices.
