Galerija FLU is the exhibition space of the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, positioned in Stari Grad on Knez Mihailova Street, within the city’s historic pedestrian core. Rather than operating as a conventional commercial gallery, it functions as an academic and curatorial platform linked to one of Serbia’s key art-education institutions. Together with Galerija Izlozi, it supports exhibitions that connect teaching, artistic research, and public presentation, making it a distinctive point within contemporary art in Belgrade. Its program gives visibility to students, doctoral candidates, faculty-related projects, and invited artists, often foregrounding processes of experimentation rather than market-oriented display.

The gallery’s direction reflects the Faculty’s broader structure, which spans painting, sculpture, printmaking, new media, and theory of art. Recent and recurring programs include doctoral art projects, student exhibitions, collection-based presentations, and projects such as UNDER PRESSURE and Òbrazovanje i Obrazovánje, indicating an interest in pedagogy, material research, and contemporary exhibition practice. Within the network of galleries in Belgrade, Galerija FLU occupies a specific role: it links emerging artistic production with an institutional framework, while remaining publicly accessible in the center of the city. Its relevance is also shaped by the Faculty’s international collaborations, including academic exchanges and regional partnerships, which place the gallery in dialogue with broader educational and artistic networks rather than a purely local scene.
