Bombon Projects Gallery in Barcelona
Dreta de l'Eixample · Contemporary programme
Editorial Profile
Bombon Projects is a contemporary art gallery based in Barcelona since February 2017, now operating from Carrer Trafalgar in the Dreta de l’Eixample area while also extending its activity through fairs, off-site projects, and, since 2025, a Madrid space developed with Galería Crisis. Its identity is closer to an artist-centered ecosystem than to a conventional commercial platform: the program works with a generation of local and international artists while also paying attention to historical figures from nearby contexts. This position gives it a specific role within contemporary art in Barcelona, where smaller and mid-sized galleries often mediate between local production, experimental formats, and international circulation.
The gallery’s exhibitions and roster show a broad interest in sculpture, installation, painting, text-based practices, and materially sensitive approaches. Represented artists include Ludovica Carbotta, Eva Fàbregas, Anna Dot, Enric Farrés Duran, Lara Fluxà, Josep Maynou, Jordi Mitjà, Pere Llobera, Aldo Urbano, Rosa Tharrats, and Joana Escoval, while exhibitions have also brought historical or nearby figures such as Josefa Tolrà and Nazario into dialogue with contemporary practices. Its presence at fairs including ARCO Madrid, Liste, ART-O-RAMA, Paris Internationale, Frieze London, and Art Basel Paris situates the project beyond the local scene without detaching it from Barcelona’s artistic fabric. Among galleries in Barcelona, Bombon occupies a position defined by trust, experimentation, and sustained relationships with artists rather than by a purely market-driven logic.
