If you want your contemporary art venue or exhibition to be formally included in the 1 Cubic Meter global map, you can submit it here. Submissions are reviewed and, once approved, become part of a curated, continuously maintained cartography of contemporary art.
How does inclusion work ?
▼
When you submit a venue or exhibition and complete the payment, your pin is provisionally added to the map. Each submission is then reviewed to ensure it aligns with the curatorial scope of the platform (contemporary visual arts and related practices).
Once approved, your venue or exhibition remains integrated in the global map for the full visibility period (see details below). If a submission does not meet the criteria, it is removed and your payment is refunded within 24 hours.
What do we mean by contemporary art ?
▼
The platform focuses on contemporary visual arts and their expanded forms — painting, sculpture, installation, new media, video art, performance, and hybrid or experimental formats.
We do not accept music events, concerts, classical theatre, stand-up shows, mainstream film screenings or DJ sets that are not clearly part of a contemporary art programme.
What can I add ?
▼
Eligible events include openings, vernissages, finissages, short-term or long-term exhibitions, performances, and similar contemporary art events. Events can be submitted in advance, even if they take place months after the submission date.
Eligible venues include galleries, cultural centers, artist-run spaces, artist studios or ateliers, art residencies, and experimental or research-driven spaces connected to contemporary art.
The form is intended for organisers, curators, and spaces that wish to be mapped within the global contemporary art infrastructure, rather than for general visitors.
